Workshop Overview

This engaging and comprehensive workshop provides immense value by promoting a deeper appreciation of film as an art form. Through the exploration of eras, evolutions, movements, influences, and artistic techniques that developed the film art and craft into what we know today, participants will gain invaluable foundational knowledge.

Participants will also learn to recognise the creative elements used by masters across eras, and by becoming acquainted with the responsibilities of production departments and crew roles they'll expand their understanding of the complex creative and technical ecosystem required to successfully produce an authentic film and improve collaboration skills.

Whether a budding cinephile or aspiring filmmaker, participants emerge with strengthened core film theory, history, and language literacy, enabling them to critically examine past, present, and future works and confidently build their skills to contribute to the future of filmmaking.
